Back to the Lower 48

Hey all, we had a great trip and after a grueling red eye flight last Saturday/Sunday, we made it home with over 200 pounds of fish that filled up the freezer chest. Here are some more pics from the trip...

Momma moose and her baby came bye the house to check us out...

On Saturday we went sight seeing and came across a wacky little garden festival going on and they had giant spiders and wierd little fairies...

On our flight out we could see this large lake being fed by a HUGE glacier that looked like it wend on for miles and miles. It was very cool.

Homer, Alaska...a quaint little village.

Why yes...that is an occupied house made out of a boat ...now that's white trash taken to a whole new level!
:-)

Andy and I had smiles as big as Texas after catching these two king salmon! Talk about fun, sorry again Austin. :-(
I have to confess, that Andy did catch a bigger fish than I did, but he also caught the smallest fish on the trip as well.
Mine weighed in at 35 pounds and Andy's weighed in at 52 pounds.

The mountains out there are b...u...t...full!!! They are all real green, I'm pretty sure the all had glaciers on them and some had several valleys that looked full of snow and ice.

The Kings of Fishing...

Tuesday we all went fishing for king salmon. They can only fit 4 people per boat though, so Dad and Grandpa went on one and the rest of us on the other. Talk about watching paint dry! Fortunately, Dad and Grandpa had a better time...

Then yesterday, we all left early in the morning and caught a float plane and went for a ride to go fishing for silver salmon. Almost all of us had a good time with that, two people managed to not catch anything and that was a bummer for them!

Austin sure was a proud fisherman!!!

Halibut Fishing

We got an early start yesterday morning, we had too leave at 3 AM to catch the Orca at the launch ramp. Once we started fishing though, there wasn't much time for taking pictures. All I got was once we had them strug up. Andy got tired of catching and may have got some pics, we'll have to see...
